Charis Seafood’s Kiosk and Seafood Market at Harley Park on the Gold Coast in Queensland is a family owned and run business.

Salvi Vinaccia and Jim Stamoudis welcome you to the Gold Coast’s Largest Seafood Outlet.

Salvi started in seafood at the prime age of 15 working afterschool for his fathers Liberato Vinaccias local fresh seafood outlet called Pacific Fisheries in Wellington, New Zealand.

By the age of 20, Salvi and his brother Pat partnered with Tony and Luigi Muollo to establish Cook Strait Seafoods. Over 13 years they had grown a retail seafood outlet into an international business comprising of catching in NZ and international waters, wholesale, retail and export.

In 2001 the business was sold to Ngai Tahu where Salvi completed his 4 year handover and then in 2005 moved his family to the Gold Coast and bought Charis Seafoods.

Jim started at the age of 19 working at De Costi Brothers seafood at the Pyrmont Fish markets in Sydney, working in wholesale.

By the age of 21, he focussed on retail and by 26, he opened his own takeaway business on the Central Coast named ‘Jimbo’s Seafood’.

In 2002, he opened ‘Jimbo’s Seafood on the Wharf’ in Tweed Heads which was a fresh seafood takeaway and restaurant.

In 2007, Jim joined Salvi at Charis Seafoods.
